Abstract:
Global warming (GW) is one of the most important environmental issues emerging during the past few decades. The current rise in global average temperature is more rapid than previous changes, and is primarily caused by humans burning fossil fuels. (Lynas, Mark&Houlton, Benjamin Z.$Perry, Simon,2021). My study aims to investigate the association between overall level of education and belief that global warming is caused by human activity. The study uses data from National Surveys on Energy and Environment (NSEE).The survey includes questions about respondents’ level of education, their belief that global warming is caused by human activity, and other demographic variables. This study does not provide evidence that overall level of education is a significant predictor of belief on the cause of global warming. However, my further research shows that there are other important factors that contribute to this association. Through further research about political parties and regions, the result suggests that factors other than education, such as political or cultural beliefs, may also play an important role in shaping individuals’ perceptions of climate change.
